The first major trade domino has fallen!
Blake Griffin has been traded to the Detroit! Pistons in a blockbuster, six-player deal:
- Tobias Harris
- Avery Bradley
- Boban! Marjanovic
- 2018 1st round pick
- 2019 2nd round pick
- B. Griffin
- Willie Reed
- Brice Johnson
So who won the trade? Tough to say right now but both teams appear to have come away w/ solid assets.
Detroit's going all-in with a frontcourt tandem of Griffin & Andre Drummond - offensively: it could work well, defensively: TBD.
LA, on the other hand, remains competitive w/ a couple perpetually underrated pieces in Tobias Harris & Avery Bradley + gets two valuable picks from DET.
Regardless of what happens, it goes to show how quickly some trades develop and the immediate impact it has on all parties involved.
After spending all nine years of his career out West, can Blake experience more success in a different conference?
